8 February 2021 Blog: my week in the news

It was so sad to hear that Captain Sir Tom Moore had died! He was an amazing man - when I read about what he had done at the age of 100 years old I was just amazed. To start off wanting to raise £1,000 for charity and end up raising over £33 MILLION! That is incredible. And he recorded a pop song and wrote two books, all within a year. I'm really glad the UK appreciated his efforts and made him a Sir.  I really hope i can live to a 100 years old and achieve that much!

It was also interesting to hear about Chinese New Year and the new zodiac, as this is the year of the Ox. I love hearing about different zodiac personalities - my birthday means i am a 'Rabbit'  which is very appropriate for me as i love bunnies! We had fun learning how to say 'Happy new year' in Chinese - listen to the podcast to hear my brother Laurie have a go!
