Why is the news important to me? What did I learn this week?

Happy Halloween and Happy Bonfire night! It was really interesting this week learning about the background to both Halloween and Bonfire Night. I knew a little bit about Guy Fawkes before, but not much so it was good to find out more. I love Bonfire night and I like fireworks but I hate the loud bangs, so I'm not sorry we won't be celebrating this year in Dubai. Halloween was really fun however, I had a party at home and we went trick or treating in my neighbourhood. There was one house that was soooo scary though!

It's exciting the UK is having a General Election. I wish I could vote, as I'd like to have a say in how the UK is run. I'm really hoping whoever wins will be able to sort out all the Brexit problems and put and end to all the disagreement in Parliament! 12th December is the last day of my school term but we will be waiting to find out who wins.

It was also good to know that keeping your brain active when you're young can stop you having brain problems when you are older. I'm having to do lots of violin practice at the moment as I have an exam next week, but least it's helping my brain!
