Why is the news important to me? What did I learn this week?

This week has been full of fascinating news and events. Donald Trump has finally agreed to allow the transition of power to president elect Joe Biden to begin but still has not accepted defeat. I understand how he is feeling as I know that you do not feel merry or jolly when you have lost the biggest job of your life. However, you need to have some sportsmanship and not be a sore loser. I do wonder how Joe Biden is feeling, now that he is the future president of the United States. He will be one of the most powerful men in the world.

Another exciting event this week was the release of the new movie Jingle Jangle on Netflix. The movie is about a man called Jeronicus Jangle who is a toy maker and has his greatest creation stolen by his apprentice and as a result he loses everything he worked for. However he managed to make his life successful again when he believed that he could. Jeronicus’ granddaughter, Journey, is a curious, ambitious and intelligent girl and could not help but cause a little bit of drama and trouble for Jeronicus. She is, however, the one who helps him succeed again. All the characters were amazing and I felt lost in the movie for an hour. Journey was most certainly my favourite character though. I enjoyed the music and I enjoyed all the costumes worn by the characters. I really recommend that you watch it! This movie really taught me a lesson. If you can believe it, you can achieve it.
