3 February 2023 Blog: my week in the news

This week I really enjoyed learning more about what a recession is, and how an economy grows and makes money. It is a shame to hear the UK is in recession, and that this means there may be fewer jobs available for people. Together with the cost of living crisis, it means it is a really difficult time for lots of people. Malala Yousefzai is someone who had been through a very difficult time too. I enjoyed hearing Zara review her book I am Malala, and I am really looking forward to reading it. I think she sounds amazing to have recovered from such a terrible injury and then to have done so much to campaign for girls' education. I had never really thought before that I lucky to be able to go to school, but now i do.
