24 January 2021 Blog: my week in the news

It was really exciting to read about the inauguration of President Biden this week, and all the changes he has made since he began his new job. He has certainly been very busy! I hope he can make some positive changes and particularly stop the spread of the pandemic in the US, which sounds very worrying. We have been hearing a lot about vaccines this week as more and more people are receiving them both in the UK and the UAE, which is very encouraging news.

I liked Laurie's story this week about the anniversary of the ipad, it is amazing that the iPad was only invented 11 years ago. We use them every day both in school and at home, we are very lucky to be able to have these devices, and it must be very tricky to do home learning during the pandemic if you don't have a computer at home. I read that there is a campaign in England at the moment to get computers or ipads to children that need them, I really hope it is successful.
