1 February 2021 Blog: my week in the news

Wow! I thought that the coronavirus vaccine would bring peace and happiness but somehow, this week it has been the opposite. Countries are actually arguing about vaccines. I think that this may have never happened if the UK did not leave the EU. Who could have imagined that the key thing to ending this devastating pandemic could create such disagreements between the European Union and the United Kingdom?

Another key news story this week was about Holocaust Memorial Day. I think this is one of the saddest days in the year. I cannot believe that Adolf Hitler killed so many people because of their religion or beliefs or just because they were disabled. Differences should be celebrated. This was one of the cruellest punishments and Hitler caused the deaths of many innocent people. How could any man actually do this?
