Why is the news important to me? What did I learn this week?

This week's news was really interesting. We had lots of different stories. I think air pollution was the most important of all the stories we talked about. It's very worrying to think that the air quality in big cities like London is making people sick, and it's a shame to think it could be stopped but people carry on driving cars that give out bad fumes. I think the new pollution charge is a good idea in London, but I think if would be a better idea if all cars became electric and then they wouldn't make the air bad at all.

It was exciting too to learn about new progress in science with the super-fast plane engines and the first photo of a black hole! Scientists are discovering so many amazing things all the time, I wonder what they will discover next? I think it would be great if we could fly round the world in just a few hours. It would make it super quick to go to Japan to see the cherry blossom! It sounds really beautiful and I would love to see this one day.
