Why is the news important to me? What did I learn this week?

We had so many shocking stories this week! I found it so shocking to hear all about the interview with Harry and Meghan this week - it was so sad to hear about their feelings and also sad to think that their family is becoming divided over this. I really hope everyone can feel happy again soon.
Laurie's story on food waste was also terrible, it is so sad to hear about so much wasted food at the same time that so many people in the world still don't have enough food to eat. My family are quite careful with using up leftovers but i know there is more we can do in our household to reduce food waste even more.
The fake vaccine story is also shocking!! I can't believe people would do this. I realise there is not enough supply of vaccines at the moment as the factories can't make them fast enough to give to everyone in the world right now, but i'm sure they are trying hard, and it's really wrong that criminals would try to make money out of this by making fake vaccines to sell.
At least the stories on International Women's Day and World Book Day were a bit happier! In my school we are celebrating World Book Day tomorrow, and I'm excited to go to school as ..... drum roll....Victoria the Violin Fairy! I love that series of books, and I play the violin too, so it's perfect for me.
