8 June 2020 Blog: my week in the news

This week Zara and I were talking about going back to school and how it will feel if we have to wear facemasks or keep our distance from our friends. It might feel a bit weird but i don't mind, i just want to go back to school. I've been at home for 14 weeks now and I'm really sad that my friends in England can now go outside and see family and friends in the garden or in the park but we're still not allowed to here in the UAE. I think they've forgotten about the children here!

It was also really sad learning about George Floyd and that he was murdered. I understand why people are protesting about it because it was a really terrible thing. The protests sound frightening though, I'm worried more people will get hurt.

So the news this week was all a bit sad really. I enjoyed hearing about Black Beauty though, ,my godfather gave it to me for Christmas and I haven't read it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Right now I'm reading Cream Buns and Crime from the Murder Most Unladylike series - I love mysteries!
