6 April Blog: my week in the news

As you know, in Dubai, we are now all in complete lockdown. I cannot believe that, in Dubai, we have to apply for a permit to go outside of the house - even if to go to a supermarket and only one person is allowed to go.  I am feeling really sad at the moment.  So many people are dying from the coronavirus. I wish I could tell it to stop going inside people’s bodies and possibly making them die. At the moment, I hate reading the news and am reading more books so I can lose myself in these amazing stories. I wish we lived in a world that had nothing bad.

For us children, during our time in lockdown school is closed but we have remote learning. Remote learning, at first, was a bit hard because none of us had ever done anything like it but gradually it has become easier. I think that remote learning is good because without this we would miss learning a lot of things. Remote learning isn’t as good as actually being in school but, in the circumstances, I am really glad that we have it. I just hope we don’t all end up with weak eyesight because of all the screen time that remote learning involves!
