It was a really interesting week of news! I was SO surprised to hear about Boris Johnson's secret wedding, it sounded really fun and special and I'm glad they were able to have a happy day without lots of media attention. They definitely did a good job of confusing people about the possible date as it was reported they had just sent save the date cards for a wedding next year!!

It was also really interesting to hear Laurie's story about Eric Carle who sadly died, and finding out more about the inspiration behind his book The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I remember reading it when I was young, i was given a really lovely pop up version with beautiful illustrations, and I love the page where the caterpillar becomes a butterfly.

I wonder if scientists will ever discover the origin of Covid-19? It is rather worrying to think it might have started in a laboratory, and that there might be lots of other horrible diseases in laboratories around the world which might escape one day! I really hope they are stored carefully.
