27 January Blog: my week in the news

Although I was a little worried by the coronavirus (I really hope it does not reach Dubai!), I enjoyed the stories this week. I was very interested to hear about the update on Donald Trump’s impeachment trial. I think it would be really unfair if the Senators favoured President Trump just because he is from their party. They have a responsibility to act fairly and I hope they will remember that.

It was very exciting hearing about Chinese New Year and discovering that Rose and I are so compatible! I didn’t know that I was born in the year of the tiger! Apparently those that are born in the year of the tiger do not like those born in the year of the horse – so that basically means I don’t like my parents!

It was also amazing to hear about the robotic heart – isn’t it great that technology can help save people’s lives? The fact that there is a waiting list for heart replacement is shocking so I am glad that technology may solve this problem.
