27 April 2020 Blog: my week in the news

Why is the news important to me? What did I learn this week?

Our stories this week were the 30th anniversary of the of the Hubble Telescope, Coronavirus, how robots are helping doctors, and a film review of the movie "Dora and the Lost City of Gold"

Coronavirus is surely worrying to every soul that lives on the Earth (I was going to write galaxy but I don't think aliens can catch it!). My feelings about the lockdown are 80% positive and 20% negative. The reason why I’m more positive than negative about the lockdown is a reason we covered in a previous episode -  spending time with your family. It's really great to be at home with my family altogether. I feel really sad for people who are separated from their families right now. We need to stay strong and "never surrender" as Winston Churchill said!  He may have said it about the Nazis in World War II, but we must not give up on extinguishing the virus. Only, not using the methods President Trump suggested  - that was ridiculous!

During the lockdown we've had some great family movie nights and one of the films we watched recently was Dora and The Lost City of Gold. Even my mum and dad enjoyed it! Listen to the podcast to hear my review :)
