23rd June Blog: my week in the news

This week has been an interesting week in the news once again.  I have learnt about a number of different topics.  One of my favourite stories this week was about parents using their mobile devices too much and not paying enough attention to their beloved children! I have someone in my family who is ALWAYS on the iPad reading the news or looking at emails.  I think that there should be a “no-devices day” for everyone once a week or even once a month so that on that day no child or adult would be allowed to use any sort of device.

Another interesting story this week was about the amount of luggage that is still being lost in airports.  This story really caught my eye because I am about to go on holiday and really looking forward to it.  I would be very upset if I arrived in the UK looking forward to getting to my grandma’s house and then found out that my luggage hadn’t arrived when I disembarked from the plane. I would be so very disappointed with the start of my holiday!

I do wonder who will be the next prime minister of the UK and I am keeping a close eye on everything that happens. I think it is going to be Boris Johnson!
