20 January 2023 Blog: my week in the news

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a fantastic break! I certainly did. I had family visiting me in Dubai and then I had a spontaneous trip to visit some of my other family in Bahrain which is just a one hour flight away from Dubai. It was my first ever visit.

This week I enjoyed covering the story about Prince Harry’s book “Spare”. I enjoyed because I did not really know much about the Royal Family. I learnt a little bit about it when the Queen died and then covering this story made me learn a bit more. It is quite sad learning how upset Prince Harry feels and very sad that the brothers are fighting.

I also found it interesting to learn that China is now trying to increase it’s population now but that it was worried about the size of its population before and had a one child policy. If my parents had been living in China, I wouldn’t have been born as I am a second child.

I am looking forward to hearing Rose’s book review. “You Don’t Know What War Is” sounds like a very interesting but sad book.
