13 December Blog: my week in the news

One of the most exciting news stories this week was the result of the UK general election. I was definitely very excited to see who wins. I even stayed up until 9pm just to watch the general election coverage on sky and BBC news, which we can still see here in Dubai.

It was sad to cover the story about the White Island volcano erupting. I felt terrible learning about the tourists who went to visit and were caught in the volcano eruption.

At age 9, news about pension rules feels like a tiny unimportant thing. However people like my mum and dad think it is very important. I think you have to be a bit older to appreciate the importance of rules about pensions but obviously lots of people are really worried about the changes to pensions rules in France and so they are going on strike!

This is my last blog for 2019! I think this year has been fantastic and I hope next year will be too. Wishing all those celebrating, a Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
