11 November 2022 Blog: my week in the news

This week I really enjoyed learning more about The Sparkle Foundation and its work in Malawi. It really made me aware of how much help poor countries need. I especially could not believe that healthcare is so poor that there were only 0.02 doctors for every 1,000 people! I am looking forward to doing some work with my school to fundraise for this charity.

Every year we cover the climate change conferences on NewzKidz. This year’s conference, COP 27, is taking place at the moment in Egypt. I feel very worried about people in the future and the planet that we will leave them.

I have not seen the movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile but I am looking forward to listening to Laurie’s review and am going to try and go to the cinema.
