Why is the news important to me? What did I learn this week?

Hello again! I'm so happy to be back at school, I love my teacher and my class this year in year 3, although i'm mainly looking forward to being able to take my own ipad home from school in year 5! We had a great summer in England - did you know that i was in  taxi when we went past the Houses of Parliament and i saw a real Brexit protest! It was nice to feel politics happening in real life after talking about it so much on our podcast! It just happened i was reading a politics book when we went past the protest, and the protest lady saw me reading through the window and smiled and waved.

It was good to hear Zara's update on Boris Johnson and Brexit this week, and to hear about progrogation which I'm still trying to practice saying! As we said on our podcast, i think Boris is being a bit selfish in not allowing Members of Parliament time to discuss these issues and I think he needs to change his behaviour if he wants to stay as Prime Minister. Zara and I realised whilst we were doing the podcast that the Brexit date is Halloween! I love Halloween, i wonder if they will have a Halloween party in parliament whether there is a Brexit deal or not!

I enjoyed talking to Zara about Prince Harry and Meghan and the fuss about them taking private jets when they talk about wanting to help the planet. We think they are being a bit hypocritical and Greta Thunberg had the right idea showing that it is possible to take boats which do not hurt the environment at all.

It is great to be back for Season Two of NewzKidz and i'm looking forward to lots more interesting and exciting stories - hopefully not too many more sad ones though!
